Lysterfield Park is located approximately 40 kms south of the Melbourne CBD. It has a wide variety of trails for all levels of experience from management trails for younger and inexperienced bike riders right through to the Commonwealth Games circuit. Individual trails are approximately 1 to 2 km long typically but can be readily joined to form a longer ride. The Commonwealth Games circuit is 6.5 km long.

Parks Victoria runs Lysterfield Lake Park and have very good maps and brochures which can be accessed from the links below..

This is a great park for mountain bike riders as it's readily accessible and provides lots of single track bike trails with various obstacles and terrains to engage the rider. The main issue with Lysterfield is that it is not overly tolerant to wet weather and can become quite muddy over the winter period.

Note that the Trailmix cafe closed at the start of 2016 and will not re-open until another operator takes it over.
