Red Hill is located 80 kilometres to the south of Melbourne. The Red Hill area is a work in progress in terms of the trails in the area with the Red Hill Riders consulting with various state and local government authorities. A trail strategy has been developed for the area and a number of trails have now been formalised on the northern face of Arthurs Seat.

Riding in the area can be undertaken with the Red Hill Riders who conduct regular weekend rides from the Red Hill Consolidated School car park entrance on Arthurs Seat Road. The local shopkeepers have requested that riders park at the school to keep the shopping area free for other users. Rides are conducted at 8:00 am on a Sunday morning. Rides are typically up to 30 kilometres long and you need to be self sufficient in terms of food, water and repair kits.

For anyone that is interested in progress on the trails in the area, there is further information on the Red Hill Riders and there is also a good document on the overall Mornington Peninsula MTB (and other users) trail strategy here. A map of the formalised trails is provided here.
