Geelong and West Coast

The West Coast between Torquay and Apollo Bay has a number of riding opportunities located in the state forest areas behind the coastal townships. There are no formal MTB parks in the area (with the exception of Forrest which is covered elsewhere) so riding is largely restricted to existing management and fire trials in the area. There is a 4X style course available at Anglesea and there is a private course (iRide) which is opened to the public for shuttle days on an irregular basis.

Eumerella Bike Park The trails in and adjacent to the Eumerella Scout Camp just north of Anglesea have been popular for some time and are currently in the process of being formalised by the Surf Coast Trail Group. Parks Victoria have published a trail map on Avenza maps which can be downloaded onto ioS and Android devices. Maps are free and provide GPS functionality. This is useful for this trail network as, at the time of writing, formal signage has not yet been erected. Search for "Eumerella" in the app or pan to area just north of Anglesea to pick up map.
